Metropol Club Gallistico, Av. Isla Verde, Isla Verde, Puerto Rico
When I went on vacation to the Carribean in January 2011 we ate at this restuarant. I ordered an authentic cuban dish of slowly roasted pork that fell off the bone, rice and black beans, plantain chips, and some of the best Garlic Bread ever devoured by me!
Metropol's food is a blend of Cuban and Puerto Rican cuisine, there are some American and Italian dishes as well. The black-bean soup was to die for! and is among the island's finest, served in the classic Havana style with a side dish of rice and chopped onions. The portions were huge and the prices were moderate!
Well worth stopping here the next time you go to San Juan.
